"Hello, hello! Are you there? Hello!" Do you remember that from Dr. Seuss?
I think I don't understand the purpose of a blog. I guess it's supposed to be a place to voice your opinion, speak out, and show off. The part that throws me is the comments section. I keep expecting people to react to what I put on the blog. But I guess there's Facebook for that. I have such a short amount of time to communicate this way, communicate at all with anyone outside my circle of activity. I don't follow Facebook and I rely on the blog for little bits of someone's thoughts about what I've decided to share. I know there are those of you out there who read it. I like to read your blogs, too. I will try to post my comments to you more often as well.
I think I wouldn't feel so neglected if they didn't offer the 'comments' option...are you out there?
I read every word you write and I am always so happy to see updates on your life. It helps me to feel connected. Pictures are my favorite thing. I don't comment often but I am here, loving whatever you post, watching every video, looking at every picture.

don't be discouraged! i love reading family blogs. i've learned so much about ethan's relatives through their blogs and i'm grateful for it. i'm always glad to see what the hendersaurus's are up to and although i don't often comment, i, like denise, read every post.
ReplyDeletei understand it can be discouraging not to get any comments but when that happens to me i try to remember that more people read the blog than i realize. i have been surprised many times to hear someone say, "i love reading your blog."
I've been trying to comment on your posts, but there is something wrong, and it won't let me. Hope this one comes through.

Don't worry- lots of people read your blog. For me it's a good way to feel connected to you, even if I don't comment. I regularly follow all the family blogs I know about, and a lot of friends as well, but I think I've only commented twice in my entire blog-following career. Even though we don't respond doesn't mean we don't care or aren't there. We really do love reading up on your lives, so please, keep the posts coming! Love you guys!
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't believe Scotty's getting his driver's license already! I remember when he was born!
